Founded in 2025, Sowers Imaging Group began with a shared family passion for photography, drone aviation, and capturing the beauty of the world around us.
Inspired by the stunning imagery captured by her husband and son, our founder and president, Tina Sowers, envisioned an opportunity to turn that passion into something more—a family-owned business dedicated to helping others see their properties, projects, and special moments from a whole new perspective.
Rooted in East Tennessee, we take pride in our community, value the relationships we build, and believe that integrity and excellence should guide everything we do.
Our philosophy is simple: Leave people, processes, and places better than we found them. It’s more than a guiding principle—it’s the standard we strive to uphold in every relationship, every project, and every image we capture.

Meet Tina, the founder and president of Sowers Imaging Group. A successful business executive with extensive leadership experience across several major corporations, Tina brings a strong foundation of professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence to our family-owned business.
Inspired by her family’s passion for photography and drone aviation, Tina founded Sowers Imaging Group to combine creativity, technology, and exceptional customer service.
Outside of her professional life, Tina enjoys fitness, the outdoors, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. With an appreciation for beautiful imagery and a passion for bringing creative ideas to life, Tina is dedicated to making every customer experience personal, meaningful, and memorable.
Meet Joe Sowers
Director of Aerial Operations | FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Pilot
Meet Joe, our Director of Aerial Operations and one of the driving forces behind Sowers Imaging Group. As an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, Joe combines his passion for aviation, photography, and the outdoors to capture stunning aerial imagery from a whole new perspective.
A proud father and outdoor enthusiast, Joe brings a friendly, outgoing personality and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others. Whether showcasing a beautiful property, documenting a construction project, or capturing a special event, Joe is committed to delivering exceptional imagery and a great customer experience.
For Joe, it’s more than flying drones—it’s about building relationships, exceeding expectations, and capturing images you’ll be proud to share.
Meet Nate Sowers
Director of Ground Operations | Sowers Imaging Group
Meet Nate, our Director of Ground Operations, whose technical curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail help keep Sowers Imaging Group running smoothly. Currently pursuing his education in mechatronics, Nate brings an engineering mindset and a passion for technology to every project.
Nate supports a wide range of operations, including drone maintenance, ground photography, site planning, video editing, and technical support. His problem-solving abilities and commitment to quality help ensure every project is carefully planned, professionally executed, and delivered with excellence.
Outside of work, Nate is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, exploring nature, and discovering new places. He’s also a passionate musician, with a particular love for playing guitar. Whether behind the scenes supporting a project or exploring the great outdoors, Nate brings creativity, dedication, and a fresh perspective to everything he does.
Meet Jim Sowers
Chief Operating Officer | Sowers Imaging Group
Meet Jim, the self-proclaimed “old guy” of the Sowers Imaging Group team. As Chief Operating Officer, Jim brings nearly 40 years of experience working with major contractors in the government and construction industries. While he likes to think all those years have taught him a thing or two, he’ll be the first to tell you that his most important job is staying out of the way of the talented people who actually know what they’re doing—and always doing what Tina tells him.
A lifelong lover of the outdoors, photography, and beautiful places, Jim believes some of life’s best moments are the ones worth capturing and sharing. He’s passionate about his family, his community, and the simple idea that we should always strive to leave people, processes, and places better than we found them.
At Sowers Imaging Group, Jim’s mission is pretty straightforward: support the team, take care of our customers, enjoy the journey, and try not to break anything along the way.
